Curly Endive

Curly endive, also called frisee, is a dark bitter leafy green often used in salads and other dishes. Endive is high in folate, fiber, and vitamins A and K.

Most people use endive added into salad with other greens though it is also good lightly wilted and served warm. The lighter green inner leaves tend to be less bitter tasting.
