We worked hard to eliminate any frost damage risk the last two chilly nights. Strawberries were covered with row covers along with a number of more delicate greens and all transplants in our greenhouse, which is unheated, were also covered for a second layer just to be safe.

Late Sunday into the early hours Monday morning we monitored the temperature in case it dropped low enough to justify a trip to the farm to turn on irrigation. The temp dropped down to 30 degrees which is right at the limit before we fire up the irrigation to help prevent buds and blossoms from freezing. As of today things look okay, but we won't really know for sure for a few weeks.
